Welcome To Forgoodcode

I’ve always loved watching chefs work.

Not the ones on YouTube making glitter pasta or lighting crème brûlée on fire with a blowtorch the size of a jet engine.

I mean the ones in real kitchens — behind the curtain — during a busy Friday dinner rush.

There’s no chaos. Just rhythm. Knives fly. Timers beep. Dishes disappear and reappear. No one speaks much. They don’t need to.

Why?

Because the best chefs don’t think about the knife. Or the pan. Or the heat.

They’ve internalized the tools, so they can focus on flavor.

That’s what I want ForGoodCode to be.

A kitchen for the modern knowledge worker.

Where the tools fade into the background and your output becomes Michelin-star level.

There are plenty of websites shouting about the next big AI tool.

And a million tutorials teaching you how to use Excel (or Notion, or GPT, or your left thumb more efficiently).

But that’s not enough.

We need context. Insight. Judgment.

We need to ask:

  • What tools are quietly powering the workflows of top performers?
  • What tiny tech tweaks create massive time savings?

This newsletter will focus on:

  • Unsexy but brilliant tools that save you 10+ hours a week
  • Tech workflows so good they feel like cheating
  • Systems for thinking, writing, coding, and learning better
  • Real use cases for AI that don’t involve “prompt engineering”
  • Mental models that help you separate signal from noise in tech

No fluff. No BS. Just the kind of insights you’ll want to forward to your smartest friend.

I don’t have a 10-person team or a venture-backed media company.

But I do have a bias for usefulness, a habit of relentless research, and a community (that’s you now) who gives a damn about doing things a little bit better every day.

Let’s build this together 💪

See you in your inbox.
